How Your Wages are Calculated in Workers Compensation

On Behalf of | Firm News |

Under the current law in Minnesota, an injured employee is entitled to two-thirds of their lost wages.  If you are completely disabled from working, you will then be entitled to two-thirds of your wage total wages.  If you are working, but at a reduced wage, then you will be entitled to two-thirds of the difference between your average weekly wage and your current wages.  Typically an employee’s average weekly wage is calculated by averaging wages over the 26-week period prior to an injury.
