Medical Bills Exceeding No-Fault Limits

On Behalf of | Firm News |

The basic Minnesota No-Fault policy provides $20,000 coverage for medical bills including X-rays, diagnostic tests, prescriptions, therapy, chiropractic and other forms of treatment.  There are instances when someone has sustained significant injuries and will incur medical bills over the $20,000 in medical coverage.  When this occurs an injured person’s health insurance may step in and issue payments.  If your health insurance makes payments they will seek reimbursement from any recovery against the at-fault driver.  If you do not have health insurance, or your health insurance does not issue payments, then the medical providers will seek reimbursement from any recovery against the at-fault driver.
