Minnesota No-Fault Act Amendments:

On January 1, 2015 amendments to the Minnesota No-Fault Act went into effective.  The amendments will impact wage loss reimbursement, survivor’s economic loss benefits, as well as funeral and burial expenses.  Previously, an insured was able to receive 85% of their gross lost income up to $250 per week.  The amendment will now allow an insured to receive 85% of their gross lost income up to $500 per week.  Survivor’s economic loss benefits have been increased from $200 per week to $500 per week.  Finally, funeral and burial expenses will increase from $2,000 to $5,000.
